Raid Rules

Raid Rules
General Raid and Behaviour
It is your responsibility to be online and available for invite. You must not be in an instance. If you are listed in a given spot and unavailable for invite, your spot may be filled and you may not be given spots on further raids.
Turn up fully prepared - Flasks/potions; Drinks/Food (can't ensure we'll have a nice mage with us); Reagents; Fully repaired.
If you would like anything from the Guild Bank for the raid (potions, buff food, etc.), please ask one of the officers at least an hour before raid invites. If you do not ask before this time, you will not be able to get these items from the Guild Bank.
Boss tactics are to be given by one person, everyone else must be quiet and listen. Once the tactics giver has indicated they are finished, you may raise any questions you have.
Please refrain from sarcastic comments and finger pointing when something goes wrong. It does not help the raid to create unnecessary tension.
If you have any dispute you wish to raise in regards to the raid (player/loot distribution etc) you must air these to the officers after the raid and in private.
Raid Sign-ups and Organisation
All sign-ups must happen on forum thread. If you do not sign-up on forum, you will not get a spot in the raid.
Raids will be organised by the officers.
Sign-up thread will be created roughly four days before raid. The thread will be locked six hours before raid commencement.
If the raid is not fully subscribed by sign-up lock then it will be automatically cancelled.
Please ensure the raid sign-up post is read thoroughly and checked regularly as amendments may occur.
Those who sign-up but are not listed as a spot filled will be on the reserve list.
Spots for continuation runs in a reset week will be prioritised to those who attended the original run.
If it is viable, we will endeavour to rotate people raiding to help get everyone raiding as much as possible. Please note that not everyone will be able to be picked for every run or reset.
If you wish to PuG a raid or attend a raid organised by another guild, please check with the officers that we have not got that specific raid planned. We will not tolerate our guild runs being affected because one of our members has got themselves saved already (VoA and 25 mans excluded).
Raid Timetable
- Invites to raid group will start at 15 minutes prior to raid start time.
- Reserve list invites will start at 10 minutes prior to raid start.
- Summoning to instance will happen during the invite stages.
- Everyone is expected to be inside the raid instance at 5 minutes before raid start.
If the raid is ready early then the raid will start early. For example no reserves needed means we can skip the reserve invite stage. Be prepared for this possibility, lets catch those bosses off-guard.
Loot Rules
We will be using Master Looter option set on Rare (blue). The Master Looter will be selected for their wide range of knowledge in classes, specs and game mechanics. They will decide who is entitled to roll on an item.
Although there will be no rule to force you to pass on an epic if you have an epic equipped in that slot, it is strongly encouraged to pass in favour of a guild member having a lower quality item in the slot. We are only as good as our lowest geared raider.
Loot will be distributed in the following manner -
1 - Main spec (listed in guild notes) + Armour proficiency (Healer cloth would go to a Holy/Disc Priest before a Druid)
2 - Main spec (Healer cloth would be open to healing Druid, Shaman, Paladin)
3 - Off spec + Armour proficiency (Healer cloth would go to a Shadow Priest before non healing Druid, Shaman, Paladin)
4 - Off spec (Healer cloth would be open to Druid, Shaman, Paladin)
5 - Item disenchanted and outcome placed in Guild Bank.
You must not express your interest in an item in any chat or over Ventrilo, this will just add time to the raid and may result in someone being patient actually missing their chance to roll on an item. Please wait to show your interest until you are invited to roll on said item.
Do not link items into raid chat, this may confuse people who think it is a signal to roll on the item.
If you have won two epic items during a run, it will be decided by the Master Looter whether you will be allowed to roll on further items. The Master Looter will take into account other peoples viability for the item/s in question. This is not a “you may only have two epics per run” rule, this is to help evenly distribute loot between all those in need on the run.
The exceptions to this rule are tier tokens.
You will be allowed to roll on tier tokens providing you have no tier token of that type already. If all relevant parties have traded one tier token of that type already, those without two tokens will be allowed to roll in order to trade it in for off spec version. If all involved parties have two tokens, priority for their third will be given to Druids, Paladins and Shamans as hybrid classes.
We expect our members to answer honestly if they have already traded in one token of that type. Members who are found to not be honest about this may find they are not allowed to roll on further tokens or that they are excluded from future raids.
Raid Requirements
In order to attend a raid you must have the following installed -
Ventrilo. You do not have to talk, unless you are Raid Leader, but you will be required to listen.
Omen Threat Meters - Updated version please.
We also strongly advise having DeadlyBoss Mods or BigWigs installed. These give timers and warnings on bosses that are extremely helpful to your survival.
Players who fail to follow these rules will not be invited to attend further raids with us and may end up removed from the guild as per our disciplinary routes.
